About the Course
This course provides an introduction and competence training in the nature and processes of counselling. Counselling skills including the microskills on which counselling activity is based such as attending behavior, client observation skills, basic listening, open/closed questions, reflection of feelings, and focusing and influencing skills will be introduced. Students will be taught to understand the 5 stages of the interview structure, and awareness of the counselling interactions, developing a counselling relationship and conducting a counselling session.

Mr Chan Earng Han
Chan Earng Han holds a Master of Social Science (Counselling) from Edith Cowan University (Australia) and a Master in Counselling from Sioux Falls Seminary (United States of America).
He is a well sought-after Trainer cum Counsellor. His passion in working with youth led him to attain his Graduate Diploma in Youth Work from Edith Cowan University (Australia).
He currently specialises in counselling young people and families who have committed petty crimes, struggled with sexuality and mental health issues including having suicidal thoughts & intent.
Earng Han is also trained in Solution Focused Brief Therapy, and he utilises Systemic lens in conceptualising problems faced by individuals and families.
