Introduction
In view of the rising suicide rate, there is a need to train workers with the essential knowledge about suicide, as well as learn the assessment and intervention skills to handle such cases. This workshop aims to bring participants through guidelines, challenges and plans that can be adopted to help workers in their dealings with clients.

Trainer’s Profile
Chan Earng Han holds a Master of Social Science (Counselling) from Edith Cowan University (Australia) and a Master in Counselling from Sioux Falls Seminary (United States of America). He is a well sought-after Trainer cum Counsellor. His passion in working with youth led him to attain his Graduate Diploma in Youth Work from Edith Cowan University (Australia).
He currently specialises in counselling young people and families who have committed petty crimes, struggled with sexuality and mental health issues including having suicidal thoughts & intent.
Earng Han is also trained in Solution Focused Brief Therapy, and he utilises Systemic lens in conceptualising problems faced by individuals and families.

Earng Han has been with Fei Yue since 2001. Currently, he is a Principal Counsellor with ISP (Integrated Service Provider) for at-risk youths and young offenders, under Fei Yue Community Services and Fei Yue Family Service Centre (Bukit Batok).
